On the afternoon of November 23, a delegation of six people, including Савченко Татьяна Вячеславовна, Director of the International Department of Irkutsk National Research Technical University, Евгений Иванович Сагайдак, Director of the International Department of Novosibirsk State University, and Sun Youdi, Chairman of Henan Youzhidi Education Technology Co., Ltd. visited Kaifeng Vocational College (KFVC). Liu Shanshan, Executive Vice President of KFVC, Chen Gang, Director of the OUA, Wan Haitang, Director of the Academic Affairs Office, and Zhang Qingfang, Director of the International Exchange Center, received the delegation.
Zhang Qingfang, on behalf of the KFVC, expressed a warm welcome and sincere greetings to the delegation of Russian universities and introduced the leaders and guests participating in thisevent.
Liu Shanshan briefly introduced the running course, practices and characteristics of the KFVC. She stated that the KFVC has always fulfilled the social responsibility of higher education institutionsand is committed to making full efforts in the field of cultural promotion. In line with the deep respect for the both sides and the shared mission of spreading historical culture, the college is willing to actively promote further communication and exchanges between the two sides.
Савченко Татьяна Вячеславовнаsaid that in terms of both the KFVC’s unique architectural features and the effective implementation of patriotic education that touches people’s hearts, the KFVC shows a strong sense of historical charm and sense of responsibility in the new era, and it has become a bench mark institution that is worth widely learning from. Especially in the aspect of patriotic education, it has provided valuable experience and inspiration for Russian universities.
Subsequently, a Sino-Russiancommunication meeting was held, where KFVC students had a face-to-face exchange with Ms.Савченко on the educational models, learning assessment systems, and arrangements for international studentsof Irkutsk National Research Technical University and Novosibirsk State University. During the communication meeting, an unveiling ceremony was also held for “Sino-Russian Higher Education Strategic Partners” between Irkutsk National Research Technical University and Kaifeng Vocational College. Afterwards, the leaders of both sides exchanged gifts and took group photos.
During the visit to the KFVC “Intangible Cultural Heritage” Master Studio, the Russian delegation highly praised the KFVC’s promotion of intangible cultural heritage projects such as Bian Embroidery, Woodblock New Year Paintings, and Chinese Imperial Porcelain of Northern Dynasty. Ms.Савченко said that Russian embroidery has a long history, and although it was once forgotten by the world, many institutions are now working hard to revive this traditional technique. At the same time, she warmly invited teachers and students of KFVC to Irkutsk National Research Technical University for the exchange and learning of relevant professional technologies.
