On the morning of December 2, Chen AoAssistant President of Panyapiwat Institute of Management (PIM), Thailand, and his delegation visited Kaifeng Vocational College (KFVC). Liu Shanshan, Executive Vice President of KFVC, received the delegation. Wan Haitang, Director of Academic Affairs, and Zhang Qingfang, Director of International Exchange Center accompanied the participants.

Zhang Qingfang, on behalf of the KFVC, extended a warm welcome and sincere greetings to the PIM delegation, and introduced the leaders and guests participating in the meeting.

Liu Shanshan gave a detailed introduction of KFVC from three aspects: the college-running course, the college-running practice and thinking, and the future planning. Liu stated that the Kaifeng Vocational College has always adhered to the educational philosophy of “Fostering Virtue Through Education, Integrating Moral and Technical Education”. The KFVC attaches great importance to educating students through culture and the environment, and insists on “focusing on Kaifeng’s characteristics and making efforts around the culture of the Song Dynasty”. It is committed to building high-level professional clusters, continuously deepening the school-enterprise cooperation model, and striving to cultivate students’ vocational skills and comprehensive qualities in all aspects. Rooted in the actual needs of the regional industries, the college takes serving economic development and social construction as its mission, aiming to contribute to the prosperity of the regional economy and the inheritance and development of culture.

Chen Ao expressed his gratitude for the warm reception of the KFVC and provided a detailed introduction to the PIM. As the only higher education institution under the Charoen Pokphand Group in Thailand, the PIM has always been unwavering in its core development strategy of integrating industry and education with global cooperation. Its areas of cooperation cover key fields such as joint educational programs, teacher training, student internships and practice, and employment. Chen Ao stated that the PIM has significant advantages interms of teaching quality, employment rates, and the expansion of further education channels. It has always focused on deeply exploring and cultivating students practical operational abilities, and is committed to promoting the in-depth development of the integration of industry and education. He looks forward to achieving win-win development with Kaifeng Vocational College in aspects such as vocational education, talent cultivation, and exchange and cooperationin the future.

During the visit to the Intangible Cultural Heritage Master Studio of KFVC, the Thai delegation showed great interest in Go (Weiqi). Chen Ao said that the Charoen Pokphand Group has always valued the inheritance of Go culture, regularly organizing Go competitions in Thailand and actively organizing students to participate in related events in China. He hopes that both sides cantake Go as a link for communication in the future, promote multicultural interactions, and further deepen exploration and practice in the fields of cultural exchange and cooperation, injecting new vitality and connotations into the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two sides.
