As time moves forward and the seasons change, the 2025 “Love the Song-Chic, Love Our KFVC” New Year Gala of Kaifeng Vocational College arrived as scheduled on the evening of December 27th. Vice President Li Guangqi, Vice President Ma Jigang, as well as all faculty and students, gathered together to bid farewell to the old and usher in the new.
The gala was filled with a happy and peaceful festive atmosphere, and Ma Jigang delivered a warm speech. He looked back on the various achievements of the school in the past year, and paid high tribute to all faculty and staff who had made outstanding contributions to the school's progress. He extended sincere greetings and New Year wishes to all faculty and students, expressing his hope that in the new year, everyone should unite with sincerity, forge ahead with perseverance, and write a new chapter through actions.
With the lively melody, the opening dance “Celebrating the New Year” featuring magnificent lions leaping into the air, drew the curtain for the gala. The song and dance drama “Yuanxi” (Lantern Festival) transported the audience back to the grand festive atmosphere at the end of the year in the Song Dynasty, allowing people to experience the lively and unique New Year celebrations that are quintessential to Chinese civilization. The performers in "Let's Dance" danced dynamically and gracefully to the rhythmic beat and cheered with youthful poses. The song and dance "Youthful Ardor", with its drum beats feeling like a sudden rainstorm and song sounding like a whirlwind, showcased the bravery and daring of young adults. The covered song “A Day at KFVC” took everyone into the rich and colorful campus life of students in KFVC, feeling the heartbeat of youth and listening to the whispers of dreams.
The dubbing show “Immersive Experience” presented a fascinating audio-visual feast with their ever-changing voices. After the raffle, the song “New Rendition of the Song Lyrics” was sung by students with ancient lyrics in modern tunes, bringing ancient culture to life with a unique vitality in modern melodies. The melodious tune and profound lyrics of the song “Shengshengman” sounded like engaging in a dialogue with the ancients, evoking an emotional resonance in the audience across time and space. In the midst of the classical dance “Waiting for the Spring and Sunny Days”, performers danced as lightly as swallows, and as gracefully as cranes, with every turn being an elegant musical piece.
The joint performers of the KFVC sports dance team, football team, table tennis team, basketball team, and taekwondo team collaboratively dedicated the last few acts. One is the dance “Torch”, during which they followed the rhythm of youth, showcasing the lively and sunny youth demeanor of college students with dynamic dance steps. Another is the chorus “Light”, which was filled with emotion, conveying love and hope through their sweet voices. Their dance “Get Ashore” was full of charm, displaying a dreamy picture painted with the sweat and tears of KFVC students. In moving melodies, their song and dance “Our Future Style” fully expressed the best wishes of faculty and students for the school’s future. Finally, the gala ended perfectly with the song and dance “We Are All Dream Chasers”.
The entire gala was filled with a lively atmosphere, bidding farewell to 2024 and welcoming the arrival of the new year, 2025, amid-st laughter and joy. The variety show featured a wide range of programs, including classical dance, a dance medley, voice acting performances, and a skit, with a total of 14 performances. These programs perfectly combined traditional culture and modern art, offering a spiritual and cultural feast for teachers and students. The event not only showcased the vibrant spirit of the faculty and students of Kaifeng Vocational College but also enriched campus cultural life, cultivated noble character, and further promoted the excellent college ethos and academic atmosphere. It contributed to strengthening the campus’s spiritual civilization and united efforts for its development.
