On the afternoon of April 1, a delegation of 22 representatives from the Novosibirsk Institute of Monitoring and Development of Education, Department of Education of the Kochenevsky District of the Novosibirsk Region, Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University, Novosibirsk State University, and Henan Youzhidi Education Technology Co., Ltd. visited KFVC. Executive Vice President Liu Shanshan, Vice President Ma Jigang, and heads of relevant departments of our college accompanied the delegation. Through campus tours, seminar discussions, intangible cultural heritage(ICH) experiences, and faculty-student interactions, both parties forged a new blueprint for educational collaboration.
The event included three phases. The delegation first toured the campus with a focus on exploring the college’s distinctive intangible cultural heritage preservation initiatives, participated in immersive workshops on Bian Embroidery, Zhuxian Town Woodblock New Year Paintings, Northern Song Royal Porcelain, and other ICH conservation projects.
The meeting focused on three key collaborative initiatives: Associate to Bachelor’s Top-up Program, Summer Study Tours Program, and the Authorization of Kaifeng Vocational College’s Bian Embroidery ICH Workshop in Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University. The Russian delegation praised the craftsmanship perpetuation in the college’s cultural heritage workshop and suggested using cultural exchange to strengthen teacher-student interactions and joint curriculum development.
During the faculty-student exchange session, Chu Jianxin, Secretary of the CPC Committee of the KFVC, warmly delivered a welcoming address, expressing our heartfelt appreciation for the delegation’s visit. This was followed by cultural presentations featuring the martial arts spectacle “Wu Yun Feng Hua”(Rhythm of the Warrior Spirit), the dance pieces “Hua Xia Shao Nian”(Dragon’s Descendants: Youth of the East) and “Jiu Zhou Tong”(Harmony Beneath One Sky), culminating in the choral finale “Da Zhong Guo”(The Great China), which showcased the multidimensional charm of Chinese cultural traditions. Савченко Татьяна Вячеславовна, Director of the International Department of Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University, remarked that this marked her second visit to the KFVC, noting that the ICH immersion activities left an indelible impression on delegation members, and pledged to facilitate more Russian educators’ first-hand engagement with China’s cultural heritage.
During the event, the two parties reached consensus on vocational education resource sharing and curriculum system interoperability, and presented each other with gifts for commemoration. Russian delegates affirmed that this visit not only enhanced their comprehension of China’s vocational education advancements but also established substantive groundwork for future collaboration. Сагайдак Евгений Иванович, Director of the International Department of Novosibirsk State University, emphasized that China-Russia educational cooperation is transitioning from preliminary dialogues to specialized co-development, expressing anticipation for elevating bilateral educational exchanges through concrete project implementation.
