Delegation of Korean Association for Comparative Economics Visited KFVC

On the morning of January 11, Sangbin LEE, President of the Korean Association for Comparative Economics (KACE) and Dean of the College of Future Convergence at Changwon National University, along with Dr. Park Bok-se from Changwon National University, and their delegation visited Kaifeng Vocational College (KFVC)Liu Shanshan, Executive Vice President of KFVC, Chen Gang, Director of the OUAand Zhang Qingfang, Director of the International Exchange Center received the delegation.


Zhang Qingfang, on behalf of the KFVC, extended a warm welcome and sincere greetings to the delegation of KACE, and introduced the leaders and guests participating in the meetingLiu Shanshan gave a detailed introduction of KFVC from three aspects: the college-running course, the college-running practice and thinking, and the future planning. She stated that KFVC remains steadfast in upholding the principle of  “staying true to our founding purpose - serving students” and is committed to nurturing talents for the Party and the Nation. Meanwhile, the college is advancing development strategy centered on Party leadership while integrating moral character with technical expertise. The KFVC is committed to the integration of industry and education, collaborating with companies such as JD and Xiaomi to establish industry-education integration bases, thereby enhancing students’ employment competitiveness. In the future, the college will dedicate itself to building a high-level vocational college characterized by humanistic, ecological, digital, and international, aiming to cultivate more outstanding talents for society and the nation.

Sangbin LEE expressed heartfelt gratitude for the warm reception by KFVC. He expressed admiration for the outstanding accomplishments KFVC had achieved in a short period of time, particularly in the fields of technological innovation and internationalization. Changwon National University focused primarily on science and engineering disciplines, emphasized industry-driven demands and cultivated talents for global supply chains and localized needs. The Korean Association for Comparative Economics, on the other hand, specialized in the study of comparative economic systems and possesses international journals and academic influence. We looked forward to strengthening collaboration between the institutions in areas such as cooperation between enterprises and colleges, research paper publications, and faculty-student exchanges, jointly promoting the development of vocational education and academic advancement.


During the exchange session, the two sides conducted thorough exchanges that focused on five main aspects: ensuring vocational education meets the demands of regional industries, fostering the academic growth of young educators, enhancing international academic collaboration, advancing the synergy between enterprises, colleges, and research institutes through innovative cooperation between enterprises and colleges models, and progressively building a sustainable and enduring collaborative relationship. Subsequently, the two sides signed a memorandum. The Korean Association for Comparative Economics appointed KFVC’s President Xu Zhongkun, Executive Vice President Liu Shanshan, and Vice President Zhang Difei as Senior Strategic Advisors for China Affairs of the KACE. The event concluded with an exchange of gifts and a group photo to mark the occasion.



This interaction deepened mutual understanding between the two sides, defined the path for future cooperation, and highlighted their common commitment to advancing the high-quality growth and global outreach of vocational education.
