On May 25, the Henan DivisionQualifying Roundof the 27th China Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Competition concluded at ourcollege. Two teams from ourcollege stood out amid fierce competition, securing championships in the Innovation Category—Humanoid Solo Dance Track and the Competition Category—Irregular Terrain Track.

In the Humanoid Solo Dance Track, the team composed of Xu Tingqi, Wu Jiaojiao, and Liu Keke earned unanimous recognition from the judges for their innovative design that integrated multi-sensor data and dynamic algorithms, achieving precise synchronization between the robot's movements and the musical rhythm. In the Irregular Terrain Track, the entry by Li Meilin and Liu Xiang excelled in completing tasks with stable mechanical performance and rapid decision-making capabilities.

It is reported that ourcollege fielded 27 participating teams for this competition, led by the School of Innovation and jointly formed by the School of Intelligent Manufacturing and the School of Information Engineering. They participated in multiple categories, including Robot Innovation, Irregular Terrain Competition, and Solo Dance. During the preparation period, instructors Zhu Chaokun, Zhao Yanjie, Hu Ying, Zhang Yuanheng, Ji Chenfei, Xie Shihao, and Gao Shuqian precisely aligned with the competition rules and customized a dual-track training program combining “theory and practice” for the students. From iterative optimization of algorithms and programs to simulated on-site presentations, the instructors provided on-site guidance throughout the process. They led the teams to overcome technical challenges such as sensor calibration and path planning algorithms. With the concerted efforts of “joint faculty-student research and multi-faceted support,” our students stood out in the intense competition among nearly a thousand teams, securing double championships with their solid professional skills and stable on-site performance.

This achievement fully demonstrates the teaching accomplishments of ourcollege in the fields of artificial intelligence and robotics. Moving forward, ourcollege will continue to leverage skill competitions as a driving force, deepen the integration of industry and education, and cultivate more high-quality technical talents with innovative spirit and practical abilities.
