From November 25 to 28, the 13th China University Karate Championship was held in Yongjia, Zhejiang Province. Ourcollege's karate team secured dual championships in the men’s team kata and mixed team kata events, along with one silver and one bronze medal in otherevents, fully demonstrating the outstanding achievements of thecollege’s physical education initiatives.
Organized by the Federation of University Sports of China and co-hosted by the Wenzhou Municipal Sports Bureau and the People's Government ofYongjia County, this championship attracted over 600 athletes from 77 universitiesor collegesacross the country. To prepare for this top-level national university karate event, ourcollege dispatched coaches Xiao Mengguo and Wang Jingjing to guide the team. During the preparatory phase, the team members dedicated their spare time to rigorous training, refining technical details and enhancing teamwork synergy. During the competition, the athletes remained calm and coordinated seamlessly, particularly in the team kata events, where they flawlessly showcased their training results on the stage. Their dominant performances earned them championships in both the men's team kata and mixed team kata events, setting a new record for thecollege in this competition.
This remarkable achievement highlights the solid outcomes of thecollege's sports programs and reflects the students' tenacious and excellence-seeking spirit. Moving forward, thecollege will continue to strengthen support for sports initiatives, improve training conditions, provide more opportunities for sports enthusiasts to shine, and elevate the standard of physical education to new heights.
